Our Multilingual Dental Team
Discussing treatment in your first language makes it far easier to ask the questions that matter.

Dental appointments involve consent, risks and costs, and none of that works well through a language you are still getting comfortable in. Our team between them speaks several languages alongside English, and Newtown is one of Wellington's most diverse suburbs, so this comes up most days.
Languages spoken in clinic
- English
- Arabic
- Mandarin
- Japanese
- Hindi dialects
- Samoan
- Vietnamese
Which clinician is available in a given language varies by day. If you would like to be seen by someone who speaks a particular language, tell us when you book and we will do our best to schedule you accordingly.
Bringing someone with you
You are welcome to bring a family member or friend to interpret, and to have them in the room during the appointment. For treatment that needs written consent, we will take the time to make sure the explanation has actually landed before anything proceeds.
If you would prefer written information to take away and read, ask and we will print it for you.
Related: new patients, pricing and fees, and meet the team.
