The implant placement procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so you will not feel pain during the surgery. Post-operative discomfort is usually mild and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief. We also offer IV sedation for anxious patients.
How long do dental implants last?
With excellent oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups), the titanium implant post can last a lifetime. The ceramic crown placed on top may eventually need replacement due to normal wear and tear, typically after 10 to 15 years.
Can I get an implant on the same day my tooth is extracted?
In some specific cases, immediate implant placement (placing the implant on the same day the tooth is removed) is possible. However, this depends heavily on the condition of your jawbone and whether there is any active infection. We will assess this during your consultation.
